Resumen

Relevancia: Técnica empleada para diagnosticar, monitorizar e investigar ciertas patologías retinianas. Cuya curva de aprendizaje es rápida, lo que cabe destacar que sea una técnica capaz de emplearse por ópticos-optometristas a modo de screening.
Resumen: Se analiza esta prueba de polo posterior, la cual se ha verificado su excelente capacidad diagnóstica para ciertas patologías que como factor común tienen el daño causado al epitelio pigmentario retiniano (EPR) y en multitud de ocasiones puede servir de alternativa a la angiografía fluoresceínica (AGF) y/o como complemento a otras medidas de polo posterior como la tomografía de coherencia óptica (OCT) o la retinografía a color, puesto que nos aporta información adicional.
